Better But With Side Effects

Hi Ted, I have had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 20 years now and was delighted to read your valuable information and am really desperate for your advise.

I tried your recipe of 2 x tablespoon ACV & 1/4 tspn bicarb Soda and for the first time in 20years felt well with great energy. However, I am now suffering with chronic constipation from the ACV & Bicarb Soda. I am very aware that I have candida very badly too, the other day I consumed raw garlic with lunch and suffered very bad indigestion and again became very constipated. Due to years of food intolerances, allergies and severe hayfever I have developed severe poloyps in my nose and am desperate to avoid yet another operation. However, you mentioned lemons in one of your remedies but because of my sensitivities I am unable to take lemons .I am also aware that I am unable to digest my food should I take something for this.I would love to keep taking your remedies but might need them modified, can you please help me.

Ted, can you also tell me how long I need to take the remedy you suggest and the maintenance dosage I need to take thereafter to maintain my health. Thank you for your time. Warm regards,Debbie-Anne

To Debbie-Anne of Australia, I have read on this web site that bloodroot and esiac tea can get rid of polyps. Good luck.

For me, I would be comfortable with taking astragalus root and melatonin together.

Commercial and residential buildings, and cooling demands will increase , with changes varying by region and by season. Net energy demand at a national scale, however, will be influenced by the structure of energy supply. The main source of energy for cooling is electricity, while coal, oil, gas, biomass and electricity are used for space heating. Regions with substantial requirements for both cooling and heating could find that net annual electricity demands increase while demands for other heating energy sources decline . Critical factors for the USA are the relative efficiency of space cooling in summer compared to space heating in winter, and the relative distribution of populations within the U.S. in colder northern or warmer southern regions. Seasonal variation in total demand is also important. In some cases, due to infrastructure limitations, peak demand could go beyond the maximum capacity of the transmission system.

The Opposition To Nuclear Power

Treatment for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Well-informed critiques of nuclear power have at least the merit of providing the opportunity to continue factual discussions. More damaging is the tendency of some writers to ignore nuclear power or to brush it aside with a few dismissive and often erroneous remarks. Thus Al Gore in his valuable and wide-ranging book ‘Earth in the Balance’ devotes barely a page to nuclear power. He notes ‘the political difficulties involved in building new nuclear reactors’ and states that ‘uncertainties about future projections of energy demand and economic problems like cost overruns were the major cause of the cancellations by utilities, well before accidents like those at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl heightened public apprehension’.

What Are The Symptoms Of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

    • Profound fatigue
    • Feeling unrested after adequate periods of sleep
    • Impaired concentration or memory
    • Depression
    • Memory loss

After you have exerted yourself in any sort of strenuous activity, it’s normal to feel fatigued. However, after a short rest period, you should feel refreshed and recovered.

But, if this feeling of exhaustion persists, and you find yourself feeling tired for no reason at all, you may want to visit your health care provider in case you are showing signs of chronic fatigue syndrome.

    Vitamin B12 And Folic Acid

    Natural Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Treatment

Researchers have been exploring whether vitamin B12 injection or other means of supplementation, along with folic acid, can relieve CFS symptoms.

There is a biochemical theory as to how this may be of benefit: People with CFS show reduced methylation which plays a role in gene expression as well as regulation of many of the body’s systems, including detoxification, cardiovascular and the neurologic system. Vitamin B12 and folic acid both promote healthy methylation pathways.

A study of B12 injections in addition to oral folic acid supplementation found that some subjects with CFS responded well, while others had only a mild response. A better response was associated with more frequent injections, lack of use of opioids, and a certain genetic phenotype.

Another study looked at using B12 nasal drops as an alternative to injections in subjects with CFS. This study also found good response in two-thirds of the participants. The researchers demonstrated that those who had a better response had a higher blood level of B12 and were more physically active .

    Get Plenty Of Exercises

Try to aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily. Exercise is essential for keeping your muscles and joints healthy, which also helps to stave off chronic fatigue syndrome. If exercising every day is not ideal for your situation, then try for 30 minutes at least three times weekly.

Most people assume that going to the gym is the only way to hit their exercise quota. However, this is not so. There are plenty of other ways to get your recommended daily activities, such as:

    • Integrating a brisk walk into your daily routine
    • Using the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible
    • Instead of walking your dog, jog with your dog instead
    • Do abdominal crunches and triceps dips while watching television
    • Be creative. Pump up the music and dance while cleaning your home

    Treatment Plans For Me/cfs

There’s no single way of managing ME/CFS that works for everyone, but there are a number of treatment options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence says you should be offered a treatment plan tailored to your symptoms.

Your doctor should discuss all of the options with you, and explain the benefits and risks of any treatment.

They should work with you to develop a treatment plan that suits you and takes into account your circumstances and preferences.

You may need advice about making lifestyle changes, specialist treatments, or a combination of both.

If your symptoms are severe, your doctor should ask a specialist for advice.

Your treatment plan should be reviewed regularly.

Adrenal extracts help to repair and restore normal adrenal function which is severely depleted in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Theses herbal formulations are used to replenish and eventually normalize adrenal function. They have a strong advantage over prescription adrenal hormone replacement in that they can be immediately discontinued once they have done their job of repairing adrenal function. They also increase energy and help to speed up the recovery time from illness. Certain herbs also have a direct impact on the adrenal glands. Herbs such as Siberian ginseng , Licorice root , Borage , Ashwagandha are classed as adaptogenic herbs. Adaptogens strengthen the adrenal glands and help the body to adapt easier to emotional and physical stress. Vitamin C is the most important nutrient in facilitating adrenal function and repair. Daily Vitamin C supplementation and weekly IV administration has shown to increase the strength and function of the adrenal glands.

    Try Graded Exercise Therapy

5 Natural Remedies for Chronic Fatigue

Those with chronic fatigue syndrome may find that vigorous exercise makes their symptoms flare. You may experience “push-and-crash” cycles, in which you push yourself to do more on days when you feel better but soon find yourself incapacitated for a longer time. Graded exercise therapy attempts to break this cycle.

This therapy incorporates gentle stretches and exercises for just a few minutes a day!

This therapy includes a structured program of gentle moves, starting with a few minutes a day. Working with a physical therapist, you’ll practice stretching or other low-impact exercises, such as tai chi or swimming, that you can handle. Then, you’ll gradually increase how long you do them.

    Increase Your Vitamin B Intake

According to a study published in the Journal of Royal Society of Medicine, researchers found a direct link between reduced vitamin B levels and chronic fatigue syndrome.

    Vitamin B6

The study focused on B-6, riboflavin and thiamine, and researchers believe that B6 is particularly important. Vitamin B6 rich foods include wild tuna and salmon, bananas, grass-fed beef, sweet potatoes, turkey, hazelnuts, garlic and cooked spinach.

Vitamin B6 helps to prevent and relieve fatigue, and it supports a healthy immune system. As stated above, some researchers believe that certain viruses play a role in CFS, therefore increasing B6 levels can be a helpful treatment. B6 helps supports T-cell functioning, allowing them to more adeptly fight infections.

    Importance of Methylation

Methylation is the term given to the process in the body where methyl compounds are used in the critical functions of the body immune function, energy production, mood, inflammation, nerve function, detoxification, and even DNA all of which are challenges in chronic fatigue syndrome patients.

Methylation helps you process toxins, make hormones, and even helps in the production of neurotransmitters such as melatonin. How well your body can methylate effects all of these important areas. Poor methylation can lead to a variety of chronic conditions including certain types of cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, allergies, digestive upset, mood and psychiatric disorders, and chronic fatigue.

Raise Available Serotonin And Fight Inflammation

Serotonin is known as a neurotransmitter, which is involved in numerous processes in our brain such as sleep regulation, pain perception and feelings of well being. An abnormal serotonin level is linked to chronic fatigue syndrome and depression that is a common result of all chronic pain conditions. If you want to raise your serotonin levels through foods, you can try eating dark chocolate in small amounts, complex carbohydrates and carbohydrate-rich foods .

Besides, chronic fatigue syndrome has an inflammatory component and it has an association with the pro-inflammatory cytokines. You can relieve inflammation by adding anti-inflammatory foods to your diet. The best researched foods include:

    • Apples, grapes, cranberries & strawberries that are rich in flavonoids
    • Carrots, dark leafy greens, pumpkin, peppers, and beets that are rich in carotenoids
    • Spinach & tomatoes that are rich in turpenes
    • Garlic, chives, leeks & onions that are rich in allyl sulfides
    • Cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, turnips, bok choy, mustard greens & chard that are rich in isothiocyanates

S To Overcome Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

    By Kathleen McCoy, BS

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a chronic illness characterized by extreme fatigue that lasts for more than six months. This fatigue cannot be explained away by an underlying medical condition. In fact, one of the diseases principle challenges is that its impossible to diagnose with laboratory tests. However, some professionals believe it is closely related to adrenal fatigue or system wide inflammation of the body.

The process for diagnosis usually begins with ruling out possible underlying diseases and chronic conditions until the only choice left is chronic fatigue syndrome. Left untreated, it decreases stamina, memory and concentration.

Chronic fatigue syndrome can result in strained relationships with friends and family, especially when it remain undiagnosed and/or untreated. Guilt, anxiety and anger are all common emotional responses for those fighting chronic fatigue.

Currently, over 1 million Americans are suffering from this debilitating illness that manifests with a lack of energy and motivation, and women are 24 times more likely than men to be diagnosed.
