While screening patients for thyroid disease, physicians often find increased thyrotropin-stimulating hormone levels in patients whose free thyroxine levels are not below normal. This state, termed subclinical hypothyroidism, is most commonly an early stage of hypothyroidism. Although the condition may resolve or remain unchanged, within a few years in some patients, overt hypothyroidism develops, with low free T4 levels as well as a raised TSH level. The likelihood that this will happen increases with greater TSH elevations and detectable antithyroid antibodies. Because patients with subclinical hypothyroidism sometimes have subtle hypothyroid symptoms and may have mild abnormalities of serum lipoproteins and cardiac function, patients with definite and persistent TSH elevation should be considered for thyroid treatment. Levothyroxine, in a dosage that maintains serum TSH levels within the normal range, is the preferred therapy in these patients.
In the absence of definitive guidelines, some clinicians may elect to perform routine screening with serum TSH measurement or to measure TSH in patients with persistent non-specific complaints, especially women, the elderly and persons with risk factors for thyroid failure .

This one may sound counter-intuitive so let me explain:
Stimulants and caffeine work by increasing the demand for existing hormonal systems in your body.

Fatigue can be experienced from ingesting a food you are sensitive to. Food sensitivities are very different from food allergies, and many people are sensitive to specific food groups which can result in fatigue. People with Hashimotos often present with gluten, dairy, soy, egg, corn, and nut sensitivities. Weight Loss With Hypothyroidism
Can you lose weight if you have hypothyroidism? Actually, hypothyroidism can make weight loss difficult.
Since hypothyroidism lowers your metabolism, your body doesnt process what you eat as efficiently as it should. A slow metabolism means more weight gain.
If youre having trouble losing weight and are currently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, its possible that your thyroid treatment is not substantial. You may also have additional hormone imbalances that need to be investigated and corrected.

I have many patients who have been on oral and even sublingual forms of B12 who don’t respond, only to respond with increased energy once they switch to shots.
Shots are superior to oral forms because they get directly into the tissues and bypass gastrointestinal absorption.
Many thyroid patients have issues with constipation, SIBO and other GI related issues that can impair absorption of nutrients .
So whenever possible it’s best to bypass the GI tract to ensure as much absorption of nutrients as possible.
Vitamin B12 shots can be a quick and effective way to consistently manage energy levels in hypothyroid patients.
